Fiddle Students Part of Tarboro's First Bluegrass Festival

Carolina Grass
Two of my fiddle students recently participated in the first ever bluegrass festival sponsored by the Edgecombe County Cultural Arts Council in Tarboro, NC.

Ron Ackerman went to spread the news about the new North Carolina Bluegrass Association he has founded, an organization for which he is currently serving as president. Steve Peters was there as a performer fiddling with Carolina Grass, a local bluegrass band. Way to go, guys!

Miranda Baines wrote a nice article about the festival for the Daily Southerner in which both students were interviewed. There are also photos from the event on the Daily Southerner website.

Here's a clip of Carolina Grass performing Earl's Breakdown at the festival.
